Tour Edge HT Max-J Set (Junior's, Ages 9-12, 7 Club Set, Right Handed, with Bag) Reviews

It comes with all things necessary to get started in golf. and is a real deal for a beginning golfer. A couple issues I didn't catch until we got the clubs however. It has a combined 7/8 Iron and 9/PW. I never understood that. He hits them well and has been taking lessons from a pro and is already needing to add a couple of clubs to fill the gaps from the above mentioned combo clubs. This will require moving up to the next (full) set. Also, the putter is not grooved, it is a painted face. It does what is intended, but since golf ahs taken a hold of my son, he needs a putter with true feel/roll already. He has basically outgrown the club's designed use in 2 months. For the value, I would get a full set. For the occassional young golfer that goes out to just hit with Dad (or Mom) this set is nice. It includes everything he needs as a beginner age 12. I like the fact that it has hybrids, which are so much easier to hit. It also has the essential clubs needed at this age to hopefully enjoy learning to play. The bag and clubs are very stylish for this age group and good quality. They are almost too short for my ten-year-old son, so keep in mind the fact they are youth clubs. I would not recommend these to a child older than ten, unless your child is small. My son is average-sized. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews Was this review helpful to you? |
